SUPER I AM 8 BIT SHOW in L.A.

I’m taking part in the SUPER I AM 8 BIT show opening in LA next week, where each artist was invited to create a piece of work around the theme of pre 1980s video games.

For the show I’ve created 2 special typographic pieces laseretched into perspex, which will also be screenprinted onto tshirts to coincide with the show.

Creative Review Cover

Over a month ago I got asked to create afew portraits for Creative Review’s special Graduate Issue and a full page illustration incorporating the portraits of the 7 featured Graduates. After I had sent through the final portraits and the full page illustration, they kindly asked if I would like to work on the cover too which was great. So here’s afew shots of what I did for them 🙂

The Sound Graphics Publication

As part of the UK OK! Exhibition in Japan, PARCO created 1 of 2 special publications to celebrate the show. Here’s a peek at the copy I received the other day with the piece I designed especially for the A2 sized publication. I’m not sure if there’s anywhere on the net to buy a copy yet, but if I find out from the organisers I’ll post a link up at some point.

Eight:48 Feature

This month sees the release of the Second Issue of Eight:48 a tabloid sized publication set up by counter objects here in London, where I was interviewed with a showcase of my latest work. Once again I’m really honoured to be among a great talented group of designers/illustrators/photographers including Alex Trochut, Build, Mr. Bingo and Corey Holms. UK? OK!! Exhibition

Last Friday saw the opening of the UK? OK!! exhibition held at PARCO in Shibuya Japan and organised by Akira and the team at RCKT. Sadly I couldn’t make it to Japan for the show which I have been told was a huge success with a few nice reviews of the 2 publications that accompany the exhibition. Looking forward to receiving my complimentary books and merchandise created especially for the show! 🙂

As well as my own work, the show features the work of:

Conspiracy for Good Tshirt

Afew months back I got asked to design a Tshirt for an interactive game called Conspiracy For Good, which I later found out was created by Tim Kring the creator of one of my favourite TV shows (Heroes) which has prematurely ended. CFG was set up as an alternative way of story telling making you part of the experience by putting on events to participate in as well as help raise money for a variety of charities.
