I can finally show what I created for the Becks – Shape your Music Experience Video. To win the piece go to: http://www.becks.com/ to guess what song my piece was inspired by. Happy guessing.

Here are some behind the scenes photos of a project I was asked to be part of afew weeks back as part of a series of music inspired videos for Beck’s. I can’t really say anymore than that at the moment, so you’ll have to wait and see what I came up with

I was invited by the lovely Holly Wales afew weeks back to take part in a poster show she’s organising at Fallon in London. I’m in the process of working on this at the moment and really looking forward to seeing what everyone else has made too.

Here’s one of 2 illustrations I did with Young & Rubicam before Christmas as part of a small campaign for Oxfam to help bring awareness to climate change. This was somewhat of a new direction for my work as drawing curves was something I steered well clear of due to my obssession with grids and keeping everything angular. It was also quite a challenge as with both of the faces I created I had to get the correct balance of each looking like the maps they were referencing as well as being recognisable as faces. After breaking through to the other side and having looked at numerous graphical styles of weather maps I think I managed to get the right balance. I enjoyed working on this so much that I’ve also started to bring elements of this new working technique into some of the new stuff I’m currently working on.
Pain Relief!
I totally forgot I did these… I created this series last year as part of a pitch for a global Nurofen campaign in association with Mother Advertising Agency to help bring awareness to the brand outside of Europe. I was given the brief ‘The other side of Pain’ fosusing more on the ‘Relief’ part of pain and with this in mind create graphical symbols incorporating the Nurofen Logo in someway.
The inspiration for these came from my experience of going to the Doctor when I was younger and being given a lollipop after being given an injection for something I can’t remember, this then gave way to other things we get given when we’re ill or things that make us happy even if we’re in pain.
Sadly Mother didn’t use this idea and ran with something else which you might have seen about recently…
